Seminal radio host, JACK Motlanthe joins 919. After a brief hiatus from the world of radio, J.A.C.K. is back! Making his return on community based radio station 919.
Taking over the airwaves from 11h00 to 15h00 on Saturday 19 August 2023. Sound Scape with J.A.C.K brings all the positive vibes touching base on tech, lifestyle, great music and cool conversations. Saturday afternoons like you’ve never heard them before, set your frequencies to 91.9FM and Sound Scape with J.A.C.K, every Saturday only on 919.
Born to do radio and bred in Meadowlands, Soweto J.A.C.K’s star quickly faced North, he was part of the 2013 SA Radio Award Winning Campus radio show, The Off-Ramp on Tshwane FM. J.A.C.K then joined CliffCentral.com in 2014, having aced the vigorous auditions held at the inception of the groundbreaking online radio station.
JACK sights, “I’m over the moon at being given the opportunity to join 919. Radio has been a love of mine for many years. Some of my best memories are of my dad and I travelling while listening to the radio. And so from a young age, the theatre of the mind, has been a darling of my heart. I’m unbelievably grateful and humbled to join a growing station that’s on the cutting edge of broadcasting. Here’s to a long and prosperous relationship!”

JACK brings more than 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry as a radio host, MC and on-stage performer. The multifaceted on-air presenter turned his sights to explore his musical endeavours in 2016, releasing mixtape ‘I Got It From The Internet’ and an EP titled ‘Best Kept Secret’. It’s wonderful to witness J.A.C.K’s star continue to rise.

Now based in Illovo, Sandton the 919 community radio station that is unashamedly family friend, encompasses positivity and provides hope for its listeners. 91.9 FM frequency caters to the Johannesburg North and outer laying regions. 919 was launched on the 1st July 2021 and is a division of the Gauteng Media Development Project NPC.
